Garfors who?Gunnar Garfors is CEO of Norwegian Mobile TV Corporation (NMTV), based in Oslo. The company launched 6 broadcasted TV channels via DMB in the Oslo region in May 2009 under the name MiniTV. He also works for with new media for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) where he was overseing the development of various new media services, including mobile TV and MMS videos on TV, both of which Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation was first in Europe to launch.Garfors has held a number of presentations in 20 countries on five continents, representing NRK and NMTV. He was born in 1975 in Hammerfest, the northernmost town in the world and grew up in Naustdal on the Norwegian West Coast with three brothers and three sisters. He is originally a journalist, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting from Falmouth College of Arts in the UK and a Master of Management from BI, Norwegian School of Management. Garfors worked in various media houses before joining NRK in 2000, turning his attention to new media related work less than a year later.
